Dermal Filler - North York
What is Dermal Filler?
Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin at different depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features: restoring a smoother appearance. Most of these wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body.

You might have mild discomfort, bruising and swelling for up to a week. After the swelling goes down, you might need a touch-up injection for best results.
How long the effect lasts depends on the type of wrinkle and filler, among other factors. We make sure to only provide the best quality Dermal Fillers.

Calcium hydroxylapatite: Calcium hydroxylapatite is found naturally in human bones and is a mineral-like compound.
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid injections can be used to improve the skin's contour and reduce depressions in the skin due to scars, injury or lines.
Polyalkylimide: Polyalkylimide is a semi-permanent dermal filler that treat deeper wrinkles such as nasolabial folds or depressed scars.
Polylactic acid: Polylactic acid is a synthetic dermal filler that is injected into your face, causing your body's own production of collagen. This type of dermal filler is known as a stimulator.
Polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres: PMMA is considered a semi-permanent filler and is most often used to treat medium-to-deep wrinkles, folds and furrows, particularly nasolabial folds. It can also be used to fill out pitted scars and to augment thin lips.

Neither dermal filler nor anti-wrinkle Injectables are overall superior to the other. Injectables treat the dynamic wrinkles in your upper face, while filler adds volume to skin and scars to smooth them. Dermal fillers usually last longer, but you can use both of them together to treat wrinkles and blemishes.
